Throughout my social media posting simulation, I took post references from big brands such as Kanken, Herschel Supply Co and Jansport. These brands are well-known for their sturdy backpacks and adventurous nature which is aligned which what Buhi Supply Co is, a backpack company suitable for audiences with an adventurous lifestyle. I also took inspirations from travel quotes around the world to cater to the adventurous customer segment's lifestyle.
Round 1


I started my first social media postings with the basic knowledge of posting on my personal social media account and incorporating the concept from Mimic Pro Simulation of keywords and powerful words such as "sale", "today only" and "exclusive". Since I only post once per week, I did so with my first round and spent all my budget on promoting the post. Although the revenue is high, I learned that it is because of the high cost that I put in to promote the post. After doing some research on social media marketing, I know that this is not the right way as it does not engage with the audiences much and that I have to spread the content out on a weekly basis.
Round 3




As for round 3, I learned from my mistake from the previous round and started planning for my content for the entire week. I found out that using hashtags, posting content and quote that relate to audiences and asking questions in the comments section would increase engagements, hence I incorporated them into my post this week. I immediately saw a difference in engagement metrics and therefore, my revenue. I also followed the recommended timing to post on different platforms which helps me greatly in terms of impressions.
Other than that, I also use this chance to test out all the different content types, such as infographics, memes, videos and blog post on different platforms to find out the best combination. In addition, I decided to target all 7 customer segment throughout the week to see which segment is the most worthwhile to target in the long run. Along with the content provided I would post employee appreciation post, travel quotes and ask for likes, share and comment to boost engagement.

Round 5



As for round 5, I learnt that infographics, memes and videos does not perform as well hence I decided to scrap them. I also incorporated more hashtags and questions into my post as they performed well and my revenue has rose way more than before. This week was also the week of Halloween! So I incorporated and experimented with the different Halloween content and posted them and it was effective in generating content. In this round, I gained more knowledge of appropriate times to post on each platform. I really followed this and tried to post on the best days and times for each platform. This saw an increase in revenue for me as well.
Halloween Week
Along with the Halloween season, I decided to launch a limited edition halloween bag series with a give away! I made sure to follow up on the giveaway every day to remind visitors and spread awareness of the event. Surprisingly, the giveaway post generated a lot of conversions which led to increase in revenue.

Round 11




As for the last round for posting, I learned that promotional videos worked well for Facebook instead of Youtube and hence I focused on that. Besides, I learned that travel luggage was the most expensive item, so for most of my posts, I tried using all the available pictures that promote travel bags and it raised my revenue.
Since the giveaway worked well in the previous rounds, I decided to do a contest to ask visitors to like, share, follow and comment on their favourite travel spots. This will increase the engagement numbers which also led to an increase in revenue.

Thanksgiving Week



I also incorporated Thanksgiving season. By launching a limited edition thanksgiving duffel bag design and a huge sale.
