Started Round 5 with decent knowledge in PPC Marketing with the understanding that all the keywords should closely relate to advertisement campaigns and in the email content and landing pages.

Advertisement: Added 1 more landing pages and advertisement for a product with higher profit margins (Sony A7R). Increased bids on keywords with high conversion rates and decrease bid on irrelevant keywords that bring little conversion. Added more budget to Nikon Ad Campaign because it was generating the most conversions and profits. Did changes to Sony a99 advertisement and profits grew.

Email: Targeted the list of email addressed previously obtained from a digital camera blogger, promoting Kent’s Camera Castle’s  Valetine's Day Sale.

Keywords Relating to Ads

I decreased the number of bids and narrowed down on relevant and high competitive keywords hoping that it will improve my ROI. I try my best to include these keywords in all my landing pages and Ads, hence my average ad and keyword position improved greatly from 2.0 to 1.7.  

For example, "sony", "Nikon D5500" and "Cameras". Some of these CPAs and CPCs are much lower and still generates great profit returns.

Email Marketing 

Email Marketing Campaign Content Evaluation

In Round 5, My Email Campaign generated the best ROI and Profit results across the 10 rounds in Mimic Pro. 

In my email subject, I made sure to use a seasonal promotion, World's Photography Day, as it will be very relatable and relevant to photography enthusiasts. I also use words such as "Limited Time Deals" and "20% OFF" to entice readers to open the email. 

In my email content, I tried another strategy which is to give away free camera accessories for the first 200 purchases only. This promotes urgency for readers to click-through to the landing page and starts purchasing. In addition, I mentioned all the brands and product keywords in my email to give readers a sneak peek on what the business offers. A call-to-action was also written at the bottom of the email to encourage action from readers.

Other than that, I also made sure to mention "Free Shipping, Returns, and Delivery with every purchase" at the start of the email to capture their attention when they read the email.

Round 5 Evaluation

Advertisement

I went back to all my ads and make sure the keywords are included in the ad and landing pages. By including keywords in ads, it optimizes the ad for search on search engines.

Overall

The budget was fully utilized which greatly increased my revenue and profit. Since I decreased my CPC on irrelevant keywords and made sure to use the keywords on my landing pages, my ad positions became better and generated greater profits. My ROI improved from 483% to 605% by making small changes to my bids and ads.
